Welcome anyone

who is interested in Christian Brothers High School. This blog started as a project for professional development but now it is evolving into a way to stay connected with other independent school librarians. We are 9-12 and all boys. Although we are identified as a college prep school, our mission in the spirit of the founder of our schools, St. John Baptist De La Salle, is to provide the best education we can to any young man who wants to become a part of our community. Our student body is diverse both economically and racially. the Brothers have been in Memphis since 1871 and have a strong presence in this area. the challenge right now is to find a balance between traditional education and the lure of technology. We are trying not to "throw the baby out with the bath water." Welcome to the blog!
